We
are a friendly 150 year old traditional country pub, open all day, serving
top quality homemade food and traditional ales in comfortable and relaxing
surroundings.
The Farmer’s Boy is the perfect setting for just about anything. Enjoy our lovely gardens, front and back or watch the petanque team on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings, when our substantial car park also doubles as the petanque pistes – new members are always welcome.
Enjoy our warm welcome after a ramble or cycle in the local area. Parties can be catered for and food can be pre-ordered if desired. Please ask if you would like to walk in the morning and join us for lunch – we are happy to open early to take orders on the day. You can even bring the dog (bar and gardens only).
Why not join us for a special occasion too? Set menus, buffets or BBQs can be provided to suit the event, such as birthdays, weddings or christenings. Children are always welcome at The Farmer’s Boy and can enjoy a healthy choice from the children’s menu. Highchairs are available too.
At The Farmer’s Boy we do not provide ‘fast food’ just good food that we will get to you as soon as we can. If you are short on time, why not pre-order by phone or fax.
‘The Best of British’ All of our meet is British and is traceable back to the farm. Our sole supplier of beef is Butlers of St Albans, a small family-run farm producing high quality beef. They do not use any GM feeds, artificial fertilizers or sprays and do not administer routine antibiotics.
